Rasmia Kirmani is the Chief Program Officer for Community Safety at the Center for Justice Innovation, a community justice organization centering safety and racial justice through partnerships with courts, communities, and those most impacted. She serves as a Commissioner on the NYC Planning Commission and Adjunct Professor at NYU’s Wagner School. Previously, she led the creation of the National Public Housing Network with Ford Foundation support and founded The Fund for Public Housing while serving on NYCHA’s executive team. A longtime Brooklyn resident, Rasmia holds degrees from The New School and the College of Wooster.
